If you’re stuck looking for unusual ideas for your next outing as a couple or a family, Quebec is really a perfect place full of activities, activities and tourist attractions to fill your holiday scrapbook. Here are three novel ideas to help you think outside the box.

Paraskiing

Tired of waiting in line for downhill skiing this winter? We suggest paraskiing. Paraskiing, also called kite skiing. During the cold season, it employs alpine skis or a snowboard, and thanks to the wind, you’ll be towed by a sail or a traction kite that allows you to glide on a river or frozen lake, fields of snow or on the ice!

To learn the proper technique, you can start practicing paraskiing on a lake, which is much easier. If you already enjoy downhill skiing, you’ll enjoy this too. It’s also a very social sport, where you can appreciate the warmth of indoor shelter. Near Montreal, you can practice in Vaudreuil-Dorion or Valleyfield. The internationally renowned park at Montmorency Falls in Quebec City offers one of the most beautiful ice waterfalls in eastern North America. Skijoring

Skijoring, is cross-country skiing towed by a dog. The rider must give their all for a joint effort between master and dog to climb slopes, sometimes traversing long distances. Skijoring is a discipline that combines in a single sporting effort, skiing, dogs and humans. The dog is provided with a harness, connected to the skier by an elastic line of a minimum line 2.5 metres and 3.5 metres for maximum cushioning.
